Culture and Sports
The WWU Münster has two theatres, four museums and a botanical garden. The cultural life of the entire city is marked by numerous dance and theatre groups, music ensembles, choirs and – not least – by the Conservatory.
In 2006 the German University Sports Association named WWU as the University of the Year because of the successful work done by its University sports department. Every week around 15,000 people take part in one of the 90 sports courses (competitive and non-competitive) offered as part of the university sports programme.
